Its Friday afternoon, I’m angry for having to file a lawsuit to recover $700.00 dollars from an insane landlord, so to take my mind off of such nonsense I’m previewing this weeks games.  My picks are in bold print followed by the predicted score at the bottom in underlined italics.

New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins

Patriots may score 100 points in this game.  I know Joey Porter must abuse himself for making the decision to leave Pittsburgh for the Goldfish.

38-6 (Patriots)

Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints

The Saints should get their second in a row after starting 0-4 against the Falcons in Leftwich’s first start.  I don’t think it’s possible for the Falcons to score more than 10 points in this game.

21-10 (Saints)

San Francisco 49ers @ New York Giants

Funny no one is picking San Fran to win this game.  I agree.  Largely this year, win lose or draw, the Giants are scoring points.  If you can’t score you can’t beat them and the 49ers offense is near the bottom of the league.

31-14 (Giants)

Tennessee Titans @ Houston Texans

This will largely turn on whether or not Vince Young plays as I refuse to pick a team to win for which Kerry Collins is their starting quarterback.  As of now Young is questionable, so give me the Texans and their stable of below average healthy receivers.  (Andre Johnson is also questionable for this game)

21-17 (Texans)

Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills

I can’t keep picking Kyle Boller to win games, but the Ravens defense has been impregnable © Mike Tyson the last couple of weeks.  I’ll take B-more.

13-3 (Ravens)

Arizona Cardinals @ Washington Redskins

Another game that turns on QB health.  If you give me a probable Kurt Warner, I’d pick the Cards.  However, he’s questionable, so I’m stuck with the Redskins.  I do have a routing interest for the Cardinals to benefit the Eagles in the NFC East race however.

24-13 (Redskins)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Detroit Lions

Yes I know Gruden has done a good job so far with the ancient Jeff Garcia.  However, the Lions are at home on turf and there is a good chance we will see Calvin Johnson return this week.  (listed as probable)  I’ll take the Lions and trust Kitna to get back on track with his 10-6 prediction.

28-17 Lions

Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders

Raiders all the way.  1) I really don’t think the Chiefs are good, they just have been winning for some strange extraterrestrial reason.  2) The Raiders defense if they have any pride should be ready to put a hurting on Larry Johnson.  Its also a rivalry game which means the Raiders have more a shot than they would if they were playing someone they could care less about beating.

24-21 Raiders

New York Jets
@ Cincinnati Bengals

I will not pick the Bengals until they show me they can win.  I guess that means I will get a pick against them wrong at some point, but I don’t think this is the week.  Expect big days on the ground for the Jets’ running backs.

28-24 Jets

Dallas Cowboys @ Minnesota Vikings

After Adrian Peterson’s tough performance last week against the Bears defense, I think we can expect a huge day for the Vikings running game against what has been a porous Dallas defense.  The question then becomes can the Vikings outscore the Cowboys potent offense?  Not with Tavaris Jackson at quarterback.

31-14 Cowboys

Chicago Bears @ Philadelphia Eagles

I’m the biggest Eagles fan walking and even I know we’ll lose this game.  We’ve been manhandled this season by teams with physical corners and/or a good pass rush.  (See Green Bay, New York, Washington)  The Bears have both usually and they’re coming off an embarrassment at the hands of media darling Adrian Peterson.  Other Eagles fans may call it lack of faith, I call it common sense.

17-10 Bears

St. Louis Rams @ Seattle Seahawks

Bulger returns for the Rams and the Seahawks have been one of the most up and down teams in the league this year.  The Rams have to get off the snide at some point why not this week?  Steven Jackson still isn’t playing the Rams offensive line has been despicable.

21-10 Seahawks
